2024 Registration

Please Note: If your child did not swim in the last season (2023), you will be unable to complete registration online. You must come to the new swimmer evaluations at the pool, where you will be able to complete the registration in-person at the front office cashier. 

Follow the 2 steps below to join the Bethesda Barracudas Swim Team:

a. Step 1: Register with the Montgomery County Recreation Department.

Active Montgomery- New registration system: Montgomery County Recreation has a new registration software (www.activemontgomery.org). Any participant who has NOT registered for a program/activity since February 15, 2022 MUST create a new account.

When creating the new account ALL family members must be added at the same time. It is very important that both parents and all children be added. It is highly recommended to create the new account BEFORE coming for an in-person registration. The process will be time consuming for the cashiers.

b. Step 2: Complete the registration form below through this secure online registration system. This registration enters you and your swimmer(s) into the team's data base for participating in swim meets sanctioned by the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). Your registration fee pays for everything that the Montgomery County Recreation Department does not (e.g., a free t-shirt and swim cap, ribbons, trophies, equipment to run meets, website, automation software, and social events like pep rallies, banquet, etc.).

You cannot swim at practice or any meets unless you complete both steps above. If you have questions about the registration process, contact a team representative.

  • New accounts will be sent an email confirmation message with instructions to set up a password.
  • At least one parent/guardian is required to volunteer.
  • Previously registered parents/guardians cannot be edited during registration. Please contact your team's admin to request edits.
