Evaluations for New Swimmers

Evaluations for New Swimmers - Minimum qualifications: 8 & Under swimmers: must be able to swim one continuous length (25 meters) of the pool using a coordinated stroke and rhythmic breathing and be able to float on their back. 9-12 Year Old swimmers: must be able to swim one legal length (25 meters) of freestyle with good rhythmic breathing and one length (25 meters) of backstroke. 13 & Over swimmers: must be able to swim two continuous legal lengths (50 meters) of freestyle with good rhythmic breathing and two continuous legal lengths (50 meters) of backstroke. Evaluations - Dates -Evaluations will be held at the Bethesda Pool. Cashiers will be at the pools to process registrations. Please fill out a family profile online (www.activemontgomery.org) prior to evaluations to expedite registration. Tuesday, May 28 - 5:00 PM Friday, May 31- 5:00 PM (Rain date if necessary and will be TBA) Once your swimmer is registered with Montgomery County, please remember to register here as well with Barracudas through this website. |

BETHESDA TEAM SEATING AREA Our team area is located in the grassy area behind the diving boards and slide. If you have tents, please bring them since there is not a lot of shade at the pool.
